Sandra Weir

Sandra Weir has an exhibition of her quilts this year with us in Belfast - her gallery will be over in the Business Suite and we are very honoured to have Sandra as a featured guest this year.  A local girl, Sandra will be well known to many of you, and this exhibition gives you all a great opportunity to see Sandra’s quilts. 

The three quilts shown below are:

Bible Bookcase Quilt, which won a Judges Choice Award at the prestigious Festival of Quilts, and was designed by Sandra’s husband Derek.

Walk in the Garden

Based on an umbrella quilt designed by Edyta Sitar, the central section was designed by Sandra to add interest and reflect her love of Springtime and wildflowers.

Sunset

This watercolour quilt, designed by Audrey Essary, was completed following an online workshop with the designer during COVID.

Many of Sandra’s quilts have a strong association with scripture messages and have Bible verses included in their labels.We are looking forward to seeing Sandra’s quilts, and we know you will find great pleasure in them.
